A rumor regarding Anthony Mantha has been confirmed by an NHL insider

This season, Mantha has racked up a total of 44 points (23 goals, 21 assists), spending most of his time with the Washington Capitals before finishing the 2023-2024 season with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Mantha was traded to the Golden Knights in exchange for assets, including a second-round pick in the 2024 Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2026 Draft.
Not Returning To Sin City
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Mantha, along with forwards Michael Amadio and William Carrier, will not be returning to Las Vegas when free agency begins on July 1st.
«Here's what we know so far: Forwards Michael Amadio, William Carrier and Anthony Mantha will not be returning to Las Vegas. All three are aware and plan to test the free agent market on July 1.

Defenseman Alec Martinez no longer seems to have a place on the blue line; he will be 37 at the end of July and he is said to be weighing his options.» -David Pagnotta

Mantha's current contract, which he signed with the Detroit Red Wings in 2020, carries a cap hit of $5.7 million AAV and is set to expire at the end of this season. As a 29-year-old power forward, Mantha has demonstrated his ability to score, having netted over 20 goals this season.
When healthy, he has been capable of posting 50, 60, and even 72 points in a season, previously being considered a key winger in the Red Wings' system.
Given his track record and potential as an affordable veteran option, the question arises: Should Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks pursue Anthony Mantha?
