The Senior Advisor of the Blackhawks has issued an official statement
This move raises a critical question: Will the Chicago Blackhawks be among the bidders for Kane's return to the Windy City?
According to Blackhawks Senior Advisor Brian Campbell, he opted for a safe and passive response when asked about this possibility.
We had #Blackhawks Hockey Ops Advisor Brian Campbell on the show yesterday and asked him if he had an official statement on
Patrick Kane returning to Chicago.
Many fans are eagerly asking if Kane will become a Blackhawk once more. Campbell, however, deflected the question to Kyle Davidson and Danny Wirtz, indicating that he is taking a hands-off approach.
He refrained from offering his personal opinion on the matter, leaving us to wonder if this reflects the official Blackhawks stance on a potential Kane reunion or if it is merely a temporary stance.
Kane has been impressive since his return from hip resurfacing surgery. He played 50 games with the Red Wings, reminding fans of the "Showtime" magic they had missed.
Kane scored 47 points (20 goals, 27 assists) this season, making him one of the most significant free agents available come July 1st.
Brian Campbell managed to avoid the fine jar, so good for him!
