Mark Giordano, the 40-year-old defenseman, isn't ready to hang up his skates just yet. With his agent, Ritch Winter, actively talking to multiple teams, Giordano is searching for one last opportunity to win the Stanley Cup.

According to Ritch Winter, teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Toronto Maple Leafs have been in the conversation. However, the priority is clear-Giordano wants to join a contender.
Winter has hinted that Mark Giordano is open to joining a rebuilding team like Calgary with the possibility of a trade at the deadline, or jumping straight to a contender like the Oilers or Maple Leafs. Despite his experience and leadership, it seems Calgary's GM Craig Conroy isn't particularly keen on a reunion with Mark Giordano.
After 18 seasons in the NHL, including eight as the captain of the Flames, Mark Giordano has built a legacy that includes a Norris Trophy and a Mark Messier Leadership Award. As he approaches 41, his focus remains on hoisting the Cup before calling it a career.
