The funeral for Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau occurred today at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Media, PA, drawing a large gathering of NHL players and close friends.

The hockey community came together to honor Johnny, a widely respected player, and his brother, Matthew. Seth Jones of the Chicago Blackhawks and Cole Caulfield of the Montreal Canadiens were among those paying their respects.
Though Jones and Gaudreau never played together in the NHL, they shared the ice during the 2024 IIHF World Championships. Gaudreau's impact on the league, especially for smaller players, resonated deeply with Caulfield, who recently switched his jersey number to #13 in tribute to Johnny.
Other notable attendees included Jack Eichel, Kevin Hayes, and Johnny's best friend, Sean Monahan. Those gathered were able to say their final goodbyes before the Gaudreau brothers were laid to rest on September 9, 2024.
