The Edmonton Oilers made headlines by signing Leon Draisaitl to the NHL's most lucrative contract. While the Chicago Blackhawks don't have the league's highest-paid player, they do boast several players with significant contracts.

Currently, the most expensive contract on the Blackhawks roster belongs to defenseman Seth Jones. Jones signed an eight-year, $76 million deal, which carries a $9.5 million cap hit. He is now entering the fourth year of that contract and hopes to lead Chicago to playoff contention during its duration.
Next in line is forward Taylor Hall, with a $6 million cap hit. Hall is in the final season of a four-year, $24 million contract he signed with the Boston Bruins in 2021.
Compared to the Oilers, the Blackhawks' biggest salaries pale in comparison. Edmonton's Connor McDavid ($12.5 million), Darnell Nurse ($9.25 million), and Draisaitl ($8.5 million) dominate the salary landscape, with Draisaitl's new deal set to take effect in 2025-26.
Looking ahead, Chicago's next major financial focus will be star rookie Connor Bedard, who still has two seasons left on his entry-level contract.
