Rockford IceHogs re-sign Kyle Maksimovich to boost AHL squad.

In a strategic move, the Rockford IceHogs have secured Kyle Maksimovich for another year under an AHL-exclusive contract. The announcement was made today, sparking discussions on the forward's promising trajectory within the Chicago Blackhawks' farm system.
« Kyle had an outstanding rookie season while playing for the Indy Fuel, and we are excited to watch his development over the next season. He's a terrific individual that has all of the traits we value in a player and a person. »

said IceHogs President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Mark Bernard.
The 26-year-old left winger showcased his skills last season with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL, appearing in 67 games. Maksimovich impressed with his scoring ability, netting 26 goals and assisting 33 times, accumulating a total of 59 points.
His performance also included 42 penalty minutes and a positive plus-minus of +13, reflecting his impact on the ice.
Maksimovich isn't new to the competitive scene. His early career was marked by a significant stint with the Erie Otters in the OHL, where he not only played alongside NHL superstar Connor McDavid during the 2014-2015 season but also helped secure an OHL championship in 2017.
While the jump to the NHL remains a goal, Maksimovich will continue to develop with the IceHogs. His track record and ongoing growth keep him on the radar as a potential call-up to the Blackhawks, underscoring the depth and talent brewing within their affiliate ranks.
