Nick Olczyk is leaving the Seattle Kraken to join the newest NHL expansion team, Utah HC, as their first on-air analyst. This move takes him away from Seattle and his family, including his father, Eddie Olczyk, who is a prominent broadcaster.

Nick spent the last two seasons with the Kraken, where he made a name for himself as a color analyst. Before his time in Seattle, he worked with the Chicago Blackhawks and their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel, often alongside his dad.
The younger Olczyk has followed in his father's footsteps, carving out a broadcasting career after stepping away from playing hockey. He played 17 games for Colorado College but decided to pursue broadcasting in 2019 due to a lack of ice time.
Nick's move to Utah HC represents another chapter for the former Blackhawks professional as he continues to make his mark in the NHL world, this time with the league's newest team.
