Tragic Loss: Johnny Gaudreau, a star gone too soon.

In a heartrending incident that has left the sports world in mourning, Columbus Blue Jackets star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew have died tragically at the age of 31 and 28, respectively.
The Gaudreau brothers were fatally injured when an SUV, driven by an allegedly intoxicated individual, struck them from behind. This occurred as the driver attempted a reckless maneuver to overtake two vehicles by passing on the right.
Johnny Gaudreau, a cherished figure in the NHL and a proud representative of the USA on the international stage, leaves behind a legacy of extraordinary talent and sportsmanship.
Over his illustrious career spanning from 2013 to 2024, Gaudreau played 763 games, netting 243 goals and amassing an impressive 743 points.
His journey began when the Calgary Flames drafted him 104th overall in 2011, and he swiftly rose to become one of the most thrilling players to watch.
The driver involved in the crash has been charged with two counts of death by auto and was found to be driving under the influence, highlighting the persistent and devastating impact of drunk driving.
