Nikolai Khabibulin, former NHL star, lists Chicago high-rise condo amid move.

Nikolai Khabibulin, the retired NHL goalie who famously inked a 4-year, $37 Million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2005, has placed his luxurious River North high-rise condo on the market.
His tenure with the Blackhawks was marred by health issues and inconsistent performances, leading him to sign with the Edmonton Oilers four years later.
Despite a hopeful comeback, Khabibulin's career was ultimately curtailed by a hip injury in 2013, prompting his retirement after playing just four more games.
The condo, a spacious 2,300 sq ft unit, boasts an array of high-end features, including 3 1/2 bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, two balconies, and two bedrooms.
Its kitchen shines with newly renovated quartz countertops, aligning with the upscale amenities of the Pinnacle building where it's located, facing east with stunning views.
Nikolai and his wife Victoria acquired this posh residence for $1.76 million back in 2005, the same year he joined the Blackhawks.

In 2024, the property taxes for this lavish condo were pegged at $29,440.
Besides their Chicago residence, the Khabibulins own a property in Paradise Valley, Arizona, purchased also in 2005 for a hefty $4.15 million.
This move marks a new chapter for Nikolai and Victoria, as they transition from their Chicago base to focus more on their Arizona home.
This listing comes at a time when the real estate market is buzzing with activity, drawing attention from potential buyers looking for luxury and location wrapped into one.
The couple's decision to sell is reflective of life's evolving chapters, especially after an illustrious career in professional hockey.
