Boston Bruins secure two defensemen, including former Blackhawk Alec Regula.

In a strategic move to bolster their defensive lineup, the Boston Bruins, guided by GM Don Sweeney, have confirmed the signing of two defensemen today.
Among the new additions is Alec Regula, a notable former Blackhawk, who has agreed to a one-year contract with the team.
Regula, who recently showcased his skills with the Providence Bruins in the AHL, will join Boston with a contract valued at the league minimum of $775K.
His stint in Providence was marked by impressive stats, playing 55 games in the 2023-2024 season, where he tallied 26 points (4 goals and 22 assists) and an outstanding plus/minus of +36.
Standing 6'4" and weighing 218 pounds, Regula has accumulated a wealth of experience in the AHL, appearing in 163 games split between the Rockford IceHogs and Providence Bruins.
Throughout his time with the Rockford IceHogs, he earned a total of 77 points, consisting of 16 goals and 61 assists.
Additionally, Regula has made 22 appearances in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks, further solidifying his professional profile.
Originally selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft, 67th overall, Regula's journey through the ranks of professional hockey has been one of consistent growth and skill refinement.
This strategic addition aims not only to strengthen the Bruins' defensive capabilities but also to add depth and experience to their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The Bruins' community and fans are eagerly anticipating the contributions that Regula will bring to the ice, given his proven track record and potential for further development.
