Rockford IceHogs bolster roster with four new signings.

The Rockford IceHogs are gearing up for the upcoming AHL season with the addition of four talented players, all signed to one-year contracts.
The group includes forward Kevin Lombardi, and defensemen Lucas Brenton, Colin Felix, and Adam McCormick, each bringing unique skills and experiences that promise to enhance the team's competitive edge.
" Colin is a big, physical defenseman that will bring depth to our back end," shared Mark Bernard, IceHogs President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. He has been a champion at the NCAA level and will bring that winning attitude to our locker room in Rockford. "

Colin Felix, at 25, joins the IceHogs after a season with the Utica Comets where he gathered two assists and 41 penalty minutes (PIMs) in 23 games, complemented by his time in the ECHL with the Adirondack Thunder, tallying 18 points and 64 PIMs.
His significant contributions continued into the Kelly Cup Playoffs, further highlighting his robust defensive play.
Lucas Brenton, only 21, returns from an impressive stint with the WHL's Moose Jaw Warriors, where he accumulated 17 points last season and played a pivotal role in their Ed Chynoweth Cup victory.
" Lucas impressed our staff at the rookie tournament last season as an invite, Bernard remarked. His size and strength are very noticeable, and we are excited to watch his development during his first professional season. "

Kevin Lombardi, another 25-year-old forward, concluded his NCAA career with Sacred Heart University, achieving a personal best of 25 points in his final season.
Lombardi's transition to the pro scene saw him making a brief appearance with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears.
" Bernard noted, Kevin is someone we had conversations with last summer before he decided to return for his last year of NCAA eligibility. He's another player with great size who can be physical and hard to play against. "

Lastly, Adam McCormick, aged 24, joins the IceHogs following an undefeated season with the University of New Brunswick, where he played a key role in securing back-to-back USports University Cup Championships.
McCormick, recognized for his defensive prowess and skating ability, has also been celebrated in the Atlantic University Sports Second All-Star Team for three consecutive seasons.
" Adam comes to us after an undefeated season at UNB capped off by winning the Canadian University Championship, said Bernard. He's a very skilled player who is an excellent skater that can play a fast game. "

These signings mark a strategic enhancement of the IceHogs' roster, reflecting the organization's commitment to building a formidable team capable of competing at the highest levels of the AHL.
With these new additions, the IceHogs are poised for an exciting and successful season ahead.
