Former member of the Chicago Blackhawks has officially declined a contract

This development has set the stage for Zadorov to become a free agent this July, according to reports.
Zadorov joined the Canucks last November after requesting a trade from the Calgary Flames.
The Canucks attempted to retain him by offering a deal for four or five years at $4.5 million annually, but Zadorov reportedly turned it down. It appears that he is seeking a more lucrative contract, which he might secure from other teams in need of a strong defenseman, such as the Chicago Blackhawks.
Will Zadorov secure a better deal with another team, or is there still a chance he and the Canucks can come to an agreement later in the free agency period?
