Willie Mays: The passing of a baseball legend.

Baseball has lost one of its brightest stars, Willie Mays, who died at the age of 93. The news of his passing was shared with a heavy heart by his son, Michael Mays.
« My father has passed away peacefully and among loved ones," Michael Mays said in a statement released by the Giants. "I want to thank you all from the bottom of my broken heart for the unwavering love you have shown him over the years. You have been his life's blood. »

Known affectionately as the 'Say Hey Kid,' Mays was celebrated not just for his phenomenal skills on the field but also for his ability to inspire generations.
His career, which spanned from the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro American League to the major leagues, is a testament to his unparalleled talent and enduring legacy.
